Jesus being a servant leader and washing the feet of His disciples

Servant Leadership

Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC)

If you would like to become a leader in the Kingdom of God you must be willing to serve.

Jesus, the King of all kings, became a servant and made the ultimate sacrifice of dying on the cross for you and I. It is a privilege to take up your daily cross and follow His example. This is a guide to help you lead a Men’s Life Group to help teach them how to…

  • Love God and their neighbors
  • Carry out the great commission and make disciples
  • Understand and keep Christ’s commandments

May God bless you as you teach His Word of truth!

The Frontline Men’s Study

THE FRONTLINE >>> CORE THEOLOGIES

  • The Master - God our Loving Father
  • The Mission - The Great Commission to Make Disciples
  • The Map - Jesus’ Commandments

This study can be used for 1-2-1 mentorship or men’s life groups.

The design of the men’s life study, THE FRONTLINE, is to help Christian men learn how to love God, love their neighbor… starting with their wife and children, be a Godly steward of the talents and finances God has given them and to further the Kingdom of God by spreading the gospel and making disciples.

To make disciples… you must be a disciple. And to love… you must be loved.

The study starts with understanding the love God has for you and after experiencing being filled with His unconditional love… living your life poured out for Him with abandoned love. Then the study goes into what it takes to make a disciple and how to win the ten main battlefields of life. And, the last step is to start your journey living out your eternal life with God by studying Jesus’ commands and to live a new life in Him.

Week 16: Overview and Share Testimonies of Life Change

Each week use the links above for the study. Each person who is part of your men’s life group needs to read, must read… the truths being taught for the week.

Week Before Meeting:

  • Send out the link for next week’s study topic.
  • Ask someone you know in the group that would be willing to share a personal testimony about how God is working in their life around the specific topic of study.
  • Remind men to think of praises of how God is working in their life based on the topic of study for the week.

One Hour Weekly Briefings:

Start on Time… Every Time. Finish on time… Every Time.

  • 10 Minutes: Check-in… How are we doing…? How’s God working…?
  • 10 Minutes: Testimony of one of the men about how God is working in their life in relation to the week’s study topic (ask them a week in advance to share so they can prepare).
  • 30 Minutes: Teach about that weeks topic
  • 10 Minutes: Praise God… Based on this week’s topic, How are we grateful to Him? Few share… then close in prayer.

It is important to start on time and end on time. This show stewardship of our time and respectful love for others. As the leader, if you would like to be available after the meeting for further sharing or to answer questions… that is entirely up to you.

  • Often the best time for questions and deep sharing is over a coffee or lunch during the week.

If you are doing the study via video conferencing, like Zoom, if you are able… have a few in-person studies. 1st week, 4th week and the 16 week would be great weeks to meet face to face.

  • Could be a good idea to have a Lord’s Supper together on week 16… share a meal together, along with personal life changing testimonies and have communion together to remember our Lord’s love and sacrifice for us as brothers in Christ.
  • If a few live out of town, maybe they can fly in for week 16. It would be a blessing for all.

“But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; and whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” —Matthew‬ ‭20‬:‭26‬-‭28‬
